Rahaf Harfoush, an ’06 Ivey HBA grad came to speak in one of my HBA classes about her non-traditional career path. She’s an author, a speaker and consultant and she’s constantly crisscrossing the world for conference, events and meetings. I was really inspired by her talk because she was a living example that if you pursue your passions, your career will follow. My last few weeks have been a constant flurry of coordinating, planning and dreaming as I tried to put together the summer “internship” that I wanted. As it turned out, I didn’t want an internship. I wanted a life
experience. I wanted to see the world. I wanted to see how other people lived. I wanted to know what were the most dire problems in the world today so that, hopefully, I can help find solutions for one or two of them over the course of my career.
